Jackson Wedding

Kahley and Colby were blessed by a beautiful wedding day in Jackson Michigan this past July.  Storms were predicted for the day, but like Colby and Kahley themselves, it remained calm and peaceful.  That is the strongest impression that I have of the two of them.  They are calm, loving to one another, gentle with all they meet, pursuing peace.  The First United Methodist Church in downtown Jackson was stunning with it’s huge organ and ornate wood carvings trimming both the organ and the church itself.  It made such an impressive backdrop of the happy couple.  After being buried (literally) in string, we hurried off to the Jackson Country Club where the true personality of the bridal party came out.  What a fun bunch of friends.  The guys all wore their polka dot socks and the girls all had cute sunglasses for some fun photos.  One thing is for sure, these friends love having fun together!  Congratulations Kahley and Colby!  You two are great together.

Kaitlin and Ryan at Stuart Ave Inn

Despite the weather forecast for thunderstorms, the wedding planned at the Stuart Avenue Inn for Kaitlin and Ryan promised to be a fun and beautiful event. The gardens were blooming, accented by flowers brought in for the wedding. The Bride prepared in the upstairs room of the Inn with her vintage look to match the Victorian theme of Stuart Avenue Inn and the decor inside. I absolutely fell in love with her hairpiece, it was the perfect finishing touch.   And not a drop of rain all day.  Thank you Kaitlin and Ryan for being so much fun in such a beautiful place!

Grand Rapids Wedding at the BOB

There are times in your life when you know you have met some wonderful and truly special people. Stephen and Kristen are two of those people. Kristen is one of those warm, funny caring people that love to pay attention to detail and live each moment to it’s fullest. The perfect compliment for her is Stephen. He is so in love with Kristen, anything she asked for, he graciously gave. It was wonderful watching two people so in tune to each other that each one knew what would make the other one happy. It is so rare to see such caring these days. I feel so privileged to have been a part of their wonderful day. Thank you Stephen and Kristen! I wish you many years of love together!!

It’s not everyday two Brides come face to face. And it dosn’t look like this one wanted to share. Seriously, it was all in fun as the two Brides tried to take each other out.
The reception was at the BOB downtown Grand Rapids. The converted warehouse/factory was the perfect urban chic setting for just such an event.
