Who is Denise? Good question. I have always considered myself a photographer. But that seems so cold a description. Some have called me an artist because of my ability to “see” a photograph before it is even there. Whoa, that sounds freaky. Okay, let’s tone it down a bit. Simply put, I really enjoy getting to know people, loving their relationships with each other and watching the beautiful way they interact with each other. My photography style is dictated by the subject and how they present themselves to me through their clothing choices, jewelry and how they style their hair. I love to study and observe through the lens of my camera. So if that makes me an artist, then I guess I am. I just enjoy capturing people at their best.
But who is Denise, really? I am Denise. I am very eclectic. I love so many different things. Every day is something different. Vintage, retro, old world, theme sets, contemporary, shabby-chic. I love them all. Ice cream, sushi, seafood, CHOCOLATE anything. Bright bold happy colors, like red, pink, orange or lime. I love to laugh, so I am always laughing. I love to connect deeply and emotionally with people. I love photographing people and I love people who love my work. This is who I am.
