Baby Ducklings are here

Twelve baby ducklings have arrived and are waiting for your child to be photographed with. They are so cute and tiny!! They will be living in this great new “home” when they are done being photographed. This little house that my nephew built is almost as cute as the ducklings! What a pampered life they will live.

Call the studio to set up your time to be photographed. There are still some spots open, so don’t wait, this will fill up quickly! 321-8888

Childrens Photography Promotion – Day with the Ducklings

This has got to be my favorite Kidz Dayz promotion ever! I spend all day building a “pond” in my camera room. Incredibly, it has real water, real rocks, several real plants, a real dock and best of all, real ducklings! The little baby Peking Ducks are a favorite! Cute, cuddly and lots of fun. The will dive under the water, stand on the dock, swim around in circles and sometimes climb the rocks. I don’t know who has more fun, the kids or me.

Kidz Dayz is a bi-monthly promotion we have at the studio that involves a “theme set”. Because it is only for a couple of days and we do not have to change out the set for each session, we offer reduced pricing on the photography. The sessions are only $25 and packages start at $79. It’s a great way to get cute, economical photographs of your children.

Call today to make your appointment because with a set this cute, the best times sell out first. 321-8888

Michigan Top 7 Photographer

Yahoo!!! I have just returned from the Professional Photographers of Michigan Annual Convention where I was awarded the trophy of one of the top seven photographer in the state. Each year this is determined by photographers submitting 4 prints to be judged anonymously by a panel of photographers, scored and the highest scores are awarded trophies. I cannot tell you how excited I was that I received this award. There are very many great photographers that enter this judging and many that I hold the highest respect for. So to be in their ranks is a humbling privilege. Now I can’t wait until next year to enter again. What fun. I love it!!

Senior Portrait of Zac

It is the middle of Senior season right now. Everyone is busy creating their portraits for their last year of High School and I have photographed some really great kids this year. Let me tell you about Zac. I photographed him last week and so enjoyed his bright and witty personality. He was a little unsure of how to be in front of the camera at first, but he soon relaxed when he realized that it wasn’t going to hurt. By the end of the first outfit, Zac true personality was starting to come through. His best friend had been in the studio a couple of weeks ago and I had learned that Jake wanted to be an anesthesiologist. I jokingly asked Zac what he wanted to be when he “grew up”, like he’s not already grown, and reminded him of Jake’s aspirations. Without loosing a beat, Zac one upped his friend and blurted out, I’m going to be a heart surgeon. Once we stopped laughing, I had to think to myself, this young man is going to go far with such a quick wit and enjoyable personality. This is why I love my job. I meet the greatest people and have such a good time doing it. Thank you God for gracing me such a great job!

What a Man

My life is a whirl right now. We are swamped with sessions at the studio, Rebeca’s wedding is just over two weeks away, I am working 12 hour days, attending meetings, finalizing details for the wedding and just really stressed. This morning I opened my email to find a sweet and loving note from my husband telling me how much he loved me, he hopes I have a wonderful day and he will cherish spending the day with me. Attached to the email is a photo of roses (clip art, but who cares?). WOW. Did I choose the right guy? It is moments like this that I live for. It is moments like this worth sharing. To whomever reads this post: I hope your day is wonderful and you cherish being with the one you love.
